NVE 887 Challenger Features
The NVE 887 Challenger is designed, manufactured and supported in the USA. It includes a demonstrated crash protection system that shields the major elements of this unit from the results of a catastrophic failure. Additional features include hydraulic and gearbox drive options, integral final filter with easy accessibility, improved axial load capabilities, vane flush port with valve, vane wear inspection port through filter, thorough exhaust check, providing negligible obstruction of free air, connected ballast silencing configuration, attached ballast silencing system, and vacuum-controlled ballast air cooling system.
Depending on the RPM, altitude, ambient temperature, and running time, the maximum allowable operating vacuum will vary. More heat in the pump is required with faster RPM, longer run time, and higher air temperature. The recommended RPM with the installation of an NVE 887 pump is 1100. Other RPMs may be acceptable provided the supplied thermometer temperature reading of the exhaust gas is not greater than 380 oF.
